My integrative approach
My approach to therapy is relational, down to earth and flexible. I work in an integrative way, which means I draw gently from different therapeutic models depending on what feels right for you. These may include elements of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural techniques (CBT), attachment theory, existential and phenomenological perspectives, and trauma informed ways of working. At the heart of it all is a focus on building a strong, trusting relationship where you feel safe, heard and supported.

The therapeutic relationship
I believe the relationship between therapist and client can be a powerful part of the healing process. Feeling truly seen and accepted in a consistent space can help rebuild trust not only in others but often in yourself. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I am here to walk alongside you. It is not always a straight line; sometimes it will feel reflective or emotional, sometimes grounding, and other times full of quiet, subtle change. Whatever shape it takes, I will meet you in it with compassion and care.

Exploring the depths
Together, we might explore how your past has shaped your present, how you relate to others, or what it means to live a meaningful life. I also pay close attention to the nervous system and how stress or emotional pain can show up physically. Supporting you to feel more settled and regulated can create the space for deeper emotional healing and self understanding. I often include gentle psychoeducation as part of our work. This might mean helping you understand how the nervous system responds to stress, how trauma may affect the brain and body, or how certain emotional patterns develop. People can find that understanding what they are experiencing brings relief, eases confusion, and helps them feel more in control and more compassionate towards themselves.

Unlocking creativity
Creativity also plays a valuable role in my approach. Some people have found it helpful to explore thoughts and emotions using sand trays, clay, painting, drawing or metaphor. These creative tools can offer new perspectives and often help express feelings that are hard to put into words. They can be especially grounding and useful when working with past experiences or complex emotions.

Your path to self-discovery
Client autonomy is at the heart of how I work. Therapy is not about fixing you; it is about creating space where you can come to know yourself more fully. I offer presence, reflection and curiosity, but you lead the way. You are the expert on your own life, and I will support you in creating a path that feels more rooted, authentic and meaningful.
